house warming

Some people have asked what my apartment looks like.  Here are some pictures of my new home.  I live with Anna (another Auburn girl- War eagle!) and we are so thankful to have such a nice apartment! It's nice to come home to an apartment that feels almost like America! Most of our furniture was either passed down from others who lived here before us or it belongs to our landlord. We also have an Ikea a few hours away and lots of our decorations came from there. I love it all!
Right as you walk in the front door- this is our den!
Our landlord just bought us a new TV- we are so excited! If you're wondering what that machine is in the corner- it's called a Kongtiao, our air conditioner.
When you walk in the front door, this is to the left.
Our dining area! Also home to our water tong.
The kitchen! It's pretty small but luckily Anna and I aren't experienced chefs anyways...
My bathroom. Yup. I have a western toilet.  No squatty!
My bedroom! Thankfully one of my best friends who was here last
year- Jessica- left her bedding for me. I love it!
Last week I printed off pictures- some of them I glued to canvases and others I got framed.
There was the official tour.

Here's another video! I took this from one of our friend's apartments.  They live in the same complex as us but on the 13th floor.  This is the view- Here's what I see everyday.

Today I am so thankful for God's many promises!

"What's more, I am with you, and I will protect
you wherever you go.  One day I will bring you back
to this land.  I will not leave you until I have
finished giving you everything I have promised you."
Genesis 28:15

Tomorrow is my first day of language classes.  I am excited, anxious, nervous and don't know what to expect.  More updates to come later!
