When friends ask how it feels to be back in the states, it's hard to put my thoughts into words. A few weeks ago, my friends Chris and Anne Marie told me that after coming back from East Asia, it can feel like a year in China never actually happened. I thought there was no way I could feel that way. My life in China started to feel like home and I love my friends and apartment and my city. But now I understand completely. Because I'm so far away, it sometimes feels like EA was just a dream. The year away flew by and especially now that I'm home, it seems like nothing has changed! But I also realize I don't have a role or a place in America right now (besides being with my family).
I am thankful for the way the Lord is protecting me and leading me during my time at home. He is so faithful and good and I am continuing to learn how to trust him more than trust myself. Enough rambling, but here are some pictures of my last week!
