nostalgic

Oh today is girl's day. Spotted this banner saying "You are the princess" and it really brightened my day. And that guy singing karaoke at the top of his lungs (with a bright red face). So we celebrated with all our girl friends by doing some crafts and baking some goodies.

I've found myself already becoming nostalgic for my life here. With less than 5 months in Asia, I am embracing the every day activities. I feel the need to take pictures of everything. I'm noticing the small little things I love that are unique to Asia.

I'll never get tired of these Asian babies

And another video from our time in Thailand! Full of tigers and ziplining in the jungle in Chiangmai. It's one of my favorite cities and I think you'll understand why.

"So you look at your life, and the two countries that hold it, and realize that you are now two distinct people. As much as your countries represent and fulfill different parts of you and what you enjoy about life, as much as you have formed unbreakable bonds with people you love in both places, as much as you feel truly at home in either one, so you are divided in two."

One of my friends posted this quote a couple days ago. It's from an article- "What happens when you live abroad." I truly feel this way. I have begun to prepare my heart to move back to America but I'm aware of what a difficult transition this could be! I know the Lord knows me and my heart. I can trust that he is going before me and beside me and behind me.

  1. Thinking about you! Soak it all up, and take lots of videos of everyday life stuff. You'll be so glad you did once you are back and missing your other home!
