in between

The last couple weeks I've just felt "in between." In between Asia and America...in between opposite time zones...and now in between first and second semester of language classes. Tomorrow I'm headed to Thailand! The national holiday for the spring festival lasts over a month so we have a long break from classes. All the students will be headed home but we'll be headed to warm weather! My skin cannot wait for Vitamin D and I can't wait to escape the frigid weather.
yes, i'm headed here again!!

i don't mind paying to play with tigers again
What else is new in my life?
  • my parents bought a new house! When I left Greenwood Street after Christmas, I knew it was my last night to stay in my old room. I was able to tour the new house (not far away!) and I love it! Couldn't be more excited for my mom and dad!
  • the subway next to my apartment building finally opened! How does this affect me? It only takes 20 minutes to get downtown instead of an hour on the bus. So basically I can get Subway, butter or cheese as often as I want :)
  • I finished my 3rd semester of language classes here. And I passed! PTL!
  • This isn't exactly NEW news but I am counting down the days until my brother and future sister-in-law's wedding. July 13!! Look how cute they are...
the happy couple!
Oh and I've been holding this baby as much as possible. Her name is Adelaide Littlepage! I love watching her grow. Oh and I love her mom, dad and brother! They truly feel like family.

oh just cruising and relaxing on the subway

missing this little lamb so much!!

probably my favorite picture from home, cuddle time

just had to put up this picture of Belle, i love her too

I feel pressure to post something about my new years resolution. We listened to a great message from Rankin Wilbourne yesterday where he taught from Luke 15. I've wondered before, if I'm not the ONE sheep who has wandered off, then where am I?!

I'm with the other 99. I'm still a sheep. And a sheep without a shepherd DIES.

I often think other people are the ones who really need the grace...so ultimately I'm just as lost as them. The 99 of us still have our pride. But would God love me more if I was the one who completely blew it?

I already have!

So where's the part about a resolution? Rankin's suggestion is simply to believe the gospel. It often sounds so simple yet believing the gospel is every day. It's discipline to submit to him every morning and admit I need him.

we are far more lost than we ever imagined
BUT
we are far more loved than we ever dared to hope
